Job Description

The staff accountant will work to assist in the day to day operations of the Accounting department and will maintain financial records and reports, perform accounting reconciliations, maintain accounts payable documentation, and will assist in other tasks requested by management.  This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing team and a growing company.  High performers will have growth opportunities available to them.

This Role Entails the Following:

  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying and entering transactions
  • Prepare and record revenue and expense entries by analyzing and compiling account information
  • Enter A/P vendor invoices for U.S. entities
  • Records and reconciles Corporate Credit Card payable transactions and ensures that appropriate expense reports have been received.
  • Reconciles daily credit card transactions, downloads transactions from Merchant Processor and uploads the transactions into the Accounting System
  • Downloads and records PayPal transactions and records in Accounting Systems
  • Daily bank accounts reconciliation and balance reporting
  • Reconciliation of monthly balance sheet Accounts as assigned
  • The right candidate will have increasing responsibility as they demonstrate their capabilities

Job Requirements

  • High-sense of urgency, highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills
  • Proficiency with basic business software and Quickbooks
  • Proficiency with MS Office especially Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high level of professional confidence
  • Used to working in a fast-paced and collegial environment
  • Strong references, clean background, customer service orientation, and professional demeanor
